Astro-Adventure at Mount Barney
Experience the magic of sunset skies and the Milky Way above Queensland’s most dramatic peaks.
I’m thrilled to announce that I’m nearly approved to conduct official, fully permitted astrophotography workshops at the spectacular Yellow Pinch Lookout in Mount Barney National Park. This is a unique opportunity—few people take the time to do these workshops properly and legally—so I’m excited to offer a respectful, park-sanctioned way to capture the breathtaking panorama of mountains, sunset, and star-filled skies.
Why Mount Barney?
Stunning Vistas: Watch the sun dip behind the rugged ridgelines, lighting up the sky with brilliant colour.
Star-Studded Heavens: From June to September, the Milky Way arches over the horizon for jaw-dropping astrophotography.
Conservation & Access: By doing this the right way—with official permits—you can photograph in a pristine environment without jeopardising the park’s regulations.
About the Workshop
Duration: 3 hours (spanning sunset and/or to the evening sky)
Skill Level: All experience levels welcome—bring your camera and passion, and I’ll guide you through the rest.
Topics Covered: Camera settings, composition, night-sky techniques, and light pollution management.
